Workshop for clinical gait analysis in China
From 15th to 17th May 2009, the "4th Forum of Practical Rehabilitation Medicine" took place in .05.2009 in Nanjing (China).
CONTEMPLAS – active in trainings in the rehabilitation sector in China for two years now - - organised an one-day workshop on
"Motion analysis for clinical routine".
After a theoretical introduction to motion analysis in the clinical sector had been set the previous day, the workshop
focussed on the practical work. A proband with knee prosthesis attended the workshop so that a clinical gait analysis
as well as a posture analysis could be demonstrated on the spot.
The participants especially appreciated the quick and easy way to get from video capture to the complete report.
The fact that all protocols, results and graphics are scientifically based met with high approval.
The flexibility of the software was demonstrated: up to four cameras can be synchronised with different devices as e.g.
force plates, accelerometers, goniometers or EMG-sensors, on a walkway or on a treadmill.
The video analysis software TEMPLO and all the modules are available in Chinese language
and offer, due to their scalability in view of functionality and future extensions,
an ideal tool for the daily routine with the patients.
