FireWire high-speed cameras for motion analysis
|
FireWire high-speed cameras are connected (similar to DV cameras) via a FireWire
cable to the computer or notebook and capture video sequences synchronously. The
power supply is provided by the FireWire bus or if you use a notebook via external
power supply.
All camera settings can be defined in the software.
|
Higher frame rates can be achieved by reducing the size of the image (area of interest).
The motion analysis software provides the following combinations (among others):
- 656x490 pixels at 100 Hz
- 500x325 pixels at 200 Hz
- 480x215 pixels at 300 Hz
All captured images are full frames.
The cameras are available as colour or monochrome version.
Optionally a high-precision synchronisation with external trigger is possible.
Currently FireWire high-speed cameras are the cameras most often used in biomechanical
and sports analyses. They use conventional technology and therefore rely on established
experience.
The CONTEMPLAS motion analysis software provides the possibility to capture up to
three cameras with one notebook or up to six cameras with one desktop computer.
