Calibration
To perform a 3D posture analysis, a calibration of the measuring spot is necessary.
This can be automatically done with the help of a calibration frame, especially
designed by CONTEMPLAS for this purpose. This calibration frame allows an exact
calibration (with an accuracy of up to 1/10th millimeter). Once the calibration
is done, you can analyse patients until you change the camera position or the zoom
factor.
Analysis and results
In the analysis protocol, additional body points are integrated into the calculation
of the measuring results in order to calculate the body rotations. The acquisition
of the body points can be done manually or as far as possible automatically.
Additionally to all results of the 2D posture analysis, the 3D posture analysis
provides the calculation of pelvic rotations and shoulder rotations. These two values,
which cannot be measured by 2D posture analysis, provide important information which
may be essential for the treatment of the defective postures. It goes without saying,
that all quantitative and qualitative measuring tools are available for an optimal
visualization.
Report
Similar to the report generated when you perform a 2D posture analysis, all measured
results are automatically illustrated and displayed. You can freely combine your
individual report pages with the automatic report pages.
